Our focus is on providing your children with the best possible support in the early to late childhood phases, because switching to the education system is already a big step. We not only give your child the security of being able to grow up after everyday daycare at Thalito and at the same time stay in familiar surroundings, but we also accompany them “step by step” in the next phases.
Our goal is to ensure the best possible quality of care so that support can also be guaranteed at off-peak times from the compulsory kindergarten/school onwards, in a small after-school group where the children’s needs are taken into account.
Weekly themed afternoons with yoga, creative art activities and excursions into nature are our top priority, along with healthy and fresh nutrition.
Health is an important Thalísimo value; Fresh air, different stimuli and periods of rest and insight into healthy nutrition are the core points of our approach.
The good thing: our staff still speaks Spanish and German.

DAILY ROUTINE IN THE DAYCARE
7.30 – 8.00 AM
Daycare opens its doors: morning care including breakfast
8.00 — 8.30 AM
Children are then taken by student taxi to the respective kindergarten/school in Thalwil and the surrounding area
8.00 — 12.00 PM
Specific group activities and teaching assignments with the older children in kindergarten preparation according to the Thalito kindergarten concept
12.00 PM
Children return from kindergarten/school alone or in the student taxi

KINDERGARTEN AND SCHOOL PATH
The children must generally manage their journey to kindergarten and school independently. Nevertheless, all of our children, regardless of age, have access to our self-organized student taxi, which can be used daily to transport the children to and from the respective facilities and also ensures that the children can travel long distances.
The children are also encouraged in their independence when they travel alone, learning to assess responsibility and dangers and react appropriately to them. If there is any initial uncertainty, the children are accompanied by the after-school care team in conjunction with the student taxi and/or their parents on the way to kindergarten/school. Behavior on the way to kindergarten/school is regularly discussed with the children. For this purpose, employees have access to non-fiction books, picture books, various visual aids and practical exercises.
Homework
The children are actively supported in completing their homework. After lunch and after snack, the children have enough time to do their homework. This takes place in a separate quiet area so that the children can do their homework undisturbed and concentrated. The children are supported by the staff. The homework is not corrected by the staff so as not to distort the picture for the teacher.
The staff create the necessary conditions so that the children can learn and work with concentration. The children are supported in doing their homework independently. This means showing the child ways to work independently.
It is not always possible for the children to complete their homework in after-school care. In principle, it is the responsibility of the parents to check whether the homework has been completed in full.
Guideline times for homework in after-school care:
1st – 3rd grade = 1/2 hour
4th – 6th grade = 1 hour
